Hello, everyone, and welcome back to TheGamesTalk.com. I’m Dr. Saiko, and today I am bringing you a very special guide called How to Counter Shaman in Rush Royale? Yes, you read that correctly! We’ll go over how to effectively counter Shaman in Rush Royale deck. I have also come across so many players who get confused when going against a Shaman deck.
Here are some tips that I found on Reddit posted by user u/gidutch that you can use to counter Shaman in Rush Royale. So without wasting any more time, let us get started with our today’s agenda of challenging Shaman deck in Rush Royale.
How to Counter Shaman in Rush Royale?
I am going to explain the steps that you can apply to a particular deck to counter Shaman. I prefer cards like Boreas, Bombardier, Chemist, Vampire, and Dryad in my deck.

These are the countermeasures and tricks I pull off against the Shaman deck in Rush Royale:
I do not immediately discard my four cards at the start of the battle. I dump one card, and if it’s a card I’m willing to lose, I just leave one card in my deck. Not only that, but I consider it a win when my opponent has a shaman bombing opportunity and bombs my one card. Bombardier, Chemist, and Dryad are three cards I’m willing to lose at the start.
I immediately draw the remaining three cards if I draw a Boreas or a Vampire. This reduces the possibility of losing this Boreas or Vampire to a Shaman bomb. My strategy from now on will be to protect the utility card the Vampire (mana generation) and Boreas (dmg output).
They bring high quality to the table after I increase their merge level with dryads or generating more Boreases or Vampires on the board by merging Bombardiers or Chemists. On the board, I always try to have two merges 1 vampires or one merge 2 vampires.

The presence of two merges 1 vampires reduces the risk of losing the mana generating utility (losing one vampire isn’t the end of the world). When bombed, one merge 2 vampires only loses one merge level. My goal is then to level up vampires to level 4, so I can gain +8 manas per tick. Spending 700 for +10 manas per tick isn’t my main goal, but it depends on how the fight goes. In addition, I try to get two ticks per monster.
So I direct the flow of monsters to just around the first corner, gaining +8 ticks twice (=16). I control my damage output to direct the flow of monsters. If the flow tends to expand, I increase the damage (tech level up Boreas, using Dryad, or adding more units on the board). Aside from the vampire strategy, I am increasing my Boreas. I accomplish this by combining Chemists and Bombardiers and employing Dryads.
Because shaman decks typically do not ramp up their damage output quickly, the flow of monsters on their side of the board game begins to increase. However, I lose the second tick on my monster flow because I kill them too quickly. Of course, as I increase the number of Boreases, I gradually level up the Boreas tech.
The trick to Counter Shaman Bomb
The bombing of the shamans isn’t a problem in and of itself. You won’t see me quickly combining units because a bombardment is on its way. Especially when it comes to Boreas. Merging Boreas at merge level 2 or 3 risks losing two Boreas. I’d rather lose a merging level by Shaman bomb than lose two Boreas. Sometimes I plan to merge two units but leave the option open. I then keep an eye out for a shaman bomb and quickly merge the units (if targeted) When this works, I use the ‘laughter’ emoticon.
After I pulled that trick, the shaman players generally began to play more conservatively. This works in my favor because they keep their board slots filled with shamans rather than other units (dmg output for instance). As you may have guessed, I’m not fond of Bombardiers and Chemists. This is due to the fact that they usually make a difference in the end game. Previously, they were merged in batches to generate Boreas.

After Boreas has reached max level tech, I am in charge of Bombardier and Chemists’ tech levels. In addition, I only need one merge level 2 Chemist to reduce every monster’s defense. I only need two or three Bombardiers with a merging level of 2 or 3.
So that is all for today from your girl, Dr. Saiko.
